Dr. Wayne Sodano has practiced in Maryland since 1985 and has been a Harford County resident since 1987. He co-founded Functional Medicine Health Services, LLC (formerly Bel Air Health & Wellness) in 2002, which specialized in functional medicine under the paradigm of natural internal medicine for hormonal imbalances, autoimmune disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, nutritional counseling, oxidative stress, structural imbalances, chiropractic, and physical therapy care.
He is Associate Director of Functional Medicine University and serves as an instructor for the Functional Medicine Training Program, a 200 hour Continuting Education program designed for health care professionals (MDs,DCs,DOs,NDs,LAc,RNs, and Nutritionists) seeking to implement functional medicine into their own practices.

Dr. Sodano is active in Continuing Education through The Institute for Functional Medicine. He is a graduate of Texas Chiropractic College and earned his BA through Rutgers University with postgraduate courses at Logan College and Towson University.
Dr. Sodano is an advocate of patient education and contributes to public awareness of natural health care by offering workshops on various health topics and lecturing at Harford Community College. Dr. Sodano has served the professional communities of The Baltimore Psychological Association, The Archdiocese of Baltimore Physical Education Department, and the Harford County chapter of C.H.A.D.D. on the functional medicine approach to Neurotransmitters, Nutrition, and Diet & Exercise for Children, Fibromyalgia, and Hormonal and Endocrine Disorders.
He served as an appointed instructor for the Diplomate program of the American Board of Chiropractic Internists, lecturing on the topics of Malignant Diseases, AIDS, Gastrointestinal Disorders, and Nutrient and Toxic Element, and is currently scheduled to lecture on additional topics.
Dr. Sodano is currently devoting time to research and publication of a series of books on functional medicine written for the health care professional. His research and teachings include topics such as NeuroEndocrine Disorders, Autoimmune Disease, Digestive Disorders, and Clinical Nutrition.
