Continuing Education for Chiropractic Physicians
Functional Medicine University's (FMU)on-line training program, Functional Medicine Training Program is sponsored by Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCUHS). The program is available to all chiropractic physicians as well as other health care professionals.
On behalf of FMU, SCUHS applies annually to the states that accept distance learning for continuing education for chiropractic physicians. The details of this process are outlined below:
SCUHS is responsible for the following:
- Submitting continuing education applications and applicable fees to state licensing boards that accept distance learning for chiropractic physicians.
- Providing documentation for FMU doctors that are in need of CE verification for license renewal. (State regulatory boards require documentation of CE hours is provided by the sponsoring university for distance learning programs.)
FMU is responsible for the following:
- Providing online distance learning for chiropractic physicians as well as other health care professionals through FMU's Functional Medicine Training Program.
- Providing all documentation required by various state board applications inclusive of: course outlines and corresponding learning materials (Insider's Guides, handouts, required reading/DVD viewing), instructor CV's, continuing education credit hours, objectives, marketing materials, and any other pertinent materials.
- Submitting to SCUHS the fee of $35.00 per doctor requesting continuing education documentation.
- Providing to SCUHS a monthly report of doctors who have taken and passed the end of module exams.
Chiropractic physicians in need of continuing education documentation must submit a ticket through the help desk at www.FMUsupport.com or by calling FMU at 877-328-4035.

Please note: Although FMU strives to maintain current information, state board requirements are subject to change as deemed necessary. Please be aware that it is your responsibility to check with your individual state/province for confirmation of licensing regulations.
